A man was brutally killed outside the MNC corporation on Friday April 17, 2026. This incident created significant panic among the locals. According to FPJ reports, the victim was bludgeoned to death with the help of heavy stone on busy road in CBD Belapur. Following the attack accused fled from the scene.

Maharashtra Police, including CBD-Belapur officers, secured the scene and forensic experts collected evidence. Senior Police Inspector Arun Pawar stated that the victim's identity is unknown and the investigation is ongoing.

Teams are reviewing CCTV footage to identify and apprehend the accused. Police are exploring various motives, including personal enmity and random violence.

Earlier, in Mumbai’s Chembur area, 50-year-old painter Sanjay Surve was found inside a parked autorickshaw, triggering panic among locals. According to police, Surve had left his home in Ashok Nagar on April 14, saying he was travelling to Pune for work. The next morning, his family was informed by a friend that he was lying unconscious in a rickshaw near Kukreja Phase-2, Rahul Nagar.

When his son reached the spot, he found Surve with two stab wounds on his abdomen and his clothes soaked in blood. He was rushed to Rajawadi Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The RCF Police have registered a murder case against an unknown accused.

Preliminary investigation suggests the attack occurred between April 14 afternoon and April 15 morning. Police are examining CCTV footage and probing all possible angles, including personal motives.
