Navi Mumbai: Massive Fire Breaks Out at Cargo Handling Warehouse in Uran, No Casualties (Watch Video)

A major blaze erupt at a cargo handling warehouse in Gavhan Phata, Uran situated in close proximity to Jawaharlal Nehru port Authority JNPA. The visuals shows a thick layer of smoke can be seen engulfed in surrounding area. The fire tenders was dispatched the spot following the incident and are trying to bring fire under control. 

The exact cause of fire remains under investigation. As of now no casualties are reported. Fire department is currently trying to bring blaze under control. 

Earlier, fire  broke out at the under construction theater in Sector 5, Airoli, under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation. As a result of the blaze, several workers were trapped on the building's roof. Fire brigade personnel have arrived at the scene and have commenced operations to bring the fire under control.

Constructed by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, the 860-seat capacity theater is currently in its final stages of completion. The fire suddenly erupted around 1:00 PM. The blaze originated on the upper floors of the theater building. With several workers trapped on the roof, immediate efforts have been launched to rescue them and to bring the fire under control.
