Bollywood films which suffered due to Coronavirus outbreak

The shooting of Shahid Kapoor's Jersey was suspended on Saturday amid the rising scare of coronavirus in the country. The 39-year-old actor took to Twitter to share the news with his fans and followers. 'At a time like this it is our social responsibility to do everything in our capacity to curb the spread of this virus. Team #Jersey is suspending shoot so as to enable all unit members to be with their families and in the safety of their homes. Be responsible. Stay safe,' Shahid posted on Twitter. Shahid has been shooting for the film in Chandigarh which also featutes Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur.

Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai - The Thailand schedule of Salman Khan's home production Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai had to be cancelled due to the outbreak of coronavirus. According to reports the team was expected to shoot some action sequences but the same had to be called off. Sooryavanshi - Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi was scheduled to hit theatres on March 24 but the makers yesterday announced that the film has been postponed. After WHO declared coronavirus a pandemic several states shut down theatres. In a official statement Rohit Shetty shared, “Sooryavanshi is an experience that we have created for you with over a year of dedication and hard work, and the response we received for its trailer was nothing less than electrifying and made it clear that this film truly belongs to its audience... We have been as excited as you are to present the film to you and your family, but due to the recent outburst of the COVID - 19 (Coronavirus), we, the makers, have decided to postpone the release of your film Sooryavanshi, keeping in mind the health and safety of our beloved audience... And therefore, Sooryavanshi will be back for you just when the time is right... After all, safety comes first... Until then, keep the excitement alive, take good care of yourself and stay strong... '83' - One of the most eagerly awaited films of the year, the coronavirus outbreak led to the cancellation of the trailer launch of this Ranveer Singh starrer. According to a news portal, the makers of 83 were planning a massive trailer launch event in Mumbai but cancelled the same amidst the Coronavirus scare, since everyone has been advised to avoid crowded places.

Toofaan - The producer of Toofan Ritesh Sidhwani took to Twitter to announce the new release date of the film in which Farhan Akhtar will be seen essaying the role of a boxer. In statement Ritesh said that Toofaan will hit theatres on 18th September 2020. The film which stars Mrunal Thakur and Paresh Rawal is helmed by Rakesh Omprakash Mehra.

Bhulaiyaa 2 - The shooting of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was called off amidst the increasing scare and spread of Coronavirus in India. The entire team including the lead cast Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani reached Lucknow on March 10th and the shoot was supposed to go till April 10th. However, with the prevailing conditions not conducive for shoot the makers decided to cancel the shoot according to a report published in Times of India with immediate effect.

Takht - Karan Johar’s ‘Takht’ was also affected because of the coronavirus outbreak. The period saga was to be shot in Jaipur and Jaisalmer; however its schedule was cancelled because of the health scare. ‘Takht’ stars an ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Anil Kapoor.
