CM Eknath Shinde visits Marine Drive, directs officials to facilities

On Monday, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde went to Marine Drive and instructed the BMC officials to ensure that citizens who visit the area for a morning walk are provided with adequate facilities.

During the event, Maharashtra Assembly Speaker and MLA Rahul Narvekar, State Tourism, Environment, and Mumbai's Guardian Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal, and other senior officials of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) were in attendance.

Every day, numerous people visit Marine Drive in Mumbai for their daily walk, but unfortunately, there is only one restroom facility available for them. The Chief Minister inspected the hygiene and sanitation conditions of the toilet.

Furthermore, he instructed the officials to enhance the number of such toilets and improve their maintenance. He also ordered them to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of the Marine Drive jetty surroundings.
