7th Pay Commission: DA hike for Central govt employees likely to rise by 4 percent

Good news for central government employees. Now the wait for increased dearness allowance will end soon.

The government will soon transfer this increased money to the employees' accounts. It is clear from the data of AICPI that this time too the government is going to increase the dearness allowance of the employees by 4 percent.

From now the employees will get dearness allowance at the rate of 46 percent.

Increment of dearness allowance is always done on basic salary. If an employee's basic salary is Rs 20,000 then DA will be calculated on that basis.

-If there is a 4% increase in DA, the salary will increase by around Rs.8000 per month.

How will your salary increase? -If Basic Salary Basic – Rs.31550 – New Dearness Allowance (DA) – 46% – Rs.14513/month >> Current Dearness Allowance (DA) – 42% – Rs.13251/month – If 4% Dearness Allowance is increased – Rs.1262 more will get - Annual inflation

As per the 7th pay matrix, everyone from the junior staff to the executive category will get a bumper salary hike.

At present, the figure of inflation allowance to be increased in the month of July has been fixed, but it has not been officially announced yet. It may be announced by the government in the month of August or September.

Recently, various state governments, including Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Karnataka, Jharkhand and Himachal Pradesh, increased dearness allowance for their state government employees.
