The death toll from COVID-19 in the country has risen to 2,872 in the last 24 hours with another 120 deaths. In the same period, 4,987 new cases of infection came to light after which the total number of cases increased to 90,927 on Sunday morning. The Union Health Ministry said the figures were released on Saturday.

A senior health ministry official said, 'About 37.51 per cent of the patients have recovered so far.' There are more than 10,000 cases of infection in the three states, with Maharashtra having the highest number of 30,706 cases.
