Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Sunday announced Rs 4 lakh ex-gratia to the kin of the 11 migrant workers from the state, who died in a road accident in Uttar Pradesh's Auraiya on Saturday.

According to a press statement, the state government has also announced Rs 50,000 as compensation for those injured in the mishap.

Soren expressed unhappiness over the way the bodies have been dispatched from Uttar Pradesh to Bokaro district of the state.

He said that he was extremely pained by the incident.
