Pune Crime: Auto Driver Assaulted by Four in Katraj, Hit on Head with Cement Block

Pune: An auto-rickshaw driver was assaulted and struck on the head with a cement block following a dispute over picking up passengers. The incident occurred in the Katraj area. A case has been registered against four individuals, including two auto-rickshaw drivers, in connection with this matter. The injured victim has been identified as Shekhar Govind Pujari. 

A formal complaint has been lodged against four individuals, including Kunal Kamble (a resident of Bibwewadi) and S. Misal alias 'Tiger'. Pujari filed the official complaint regarding this incident at the Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station. According to the police, auto-rickshaw driver Pujari was waiting in the Katraj area when a dispute arose between him and the accused regarding the boarding of passengers into his rickshaw. Escalating from this argument, the accused verbally abused Pujari and physically assaulted him. They then picked up a cement block lying on the road and struck Pujari on the head with it. Pujari sustained serious injuries in the attack. Assistant Sub-Inspector Ravindra Bhosale is currently investigating the case.

Chaturshrungi Police have registered a case against a mob for assaulting four people in Indira Gandhi Colony, Aundh, following a dispute during a dance performance. Kunal Nandkishore Tujare (22), a resident of the colony, filed the complaint. The accused are Pramod Ghadsing, Sameer Ghadsing, Bhayya Sarode, Tejas Devkar, and Omkar Patole, also residents of Indira Gandhi Colony.

According to the police, the incident occurred on Wednesday at approximately 6:30 PM during a public event. Kunal Tujare's father, Nandkishore, was dancing when he accidentally bumped into Pramod Ghadsing, leading to an argument. The accused then assaulted Nandkishore. When Kunal and his nephew intervened, they were also assaulted. Police Constable Gaikwad is investigating the case.
