Pune Crime: Man Assaulted With Rods After Confronting Accused Over Verbal Abuse Of Father

A young man was brutally assaulted with a wooden stick and an iron rod after he questioned individuals who were allegedly abusing his father during a family-related dispute. The incident took place around 9 pm on Monday, February 2, in Hedruj village of Khed taluka. The victim, Amol Baban Bachche, 33, a resident of Hedruj, later approached the Mahalunge MIDC police station to lodge a formal complaint. Following his statement, the police registered a case and began an investigation into the violent attack that left him injured and traumatised.

According to the police, the violence stemmed from a misunderstanding. The accused allegedly assumed that the complainant’s father was verbally abusing them, while he was actually arguing with his wife. Enraged by this misinterpretation, the suspects reportedly confronted Amol Bachche, hurled abuses, and attacked him using a wooden baton and an iron rod. They also allegedly pushed him around and issued threats to kill him. The assault resulted in injuries to the complainant. The accused have been identified as Lahu, Papesh, Bharat, and Pradeep Bachche, all residents of Hedruj.
