Pune Crime: Man Targeted With Speeding Car Over Old Land Dispute, Incident Caught On Camera

Pune: A shocking crime caught on camera has surfaced from Chakan, where an attempt was made to murder a man by deliberately running a car over him over a land dispute. The incident occurred in the Khalumbre area near Chakan. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras, and the dramatic footage has now surfaced. In connection with the case, the Mahalunge Police have registered an FIR against the accused, Khandu Bapu Pawar, former Vice-Chairman Popat Bapu Pawar, and an unidentified accomplice, and have subsequently arrested the two named individuals.

The complainant, Kiran Baban Shinde, was heading towards his home when the accused confronted him and initiated an altercation. Lying in wait near his residence due to a long-standing dispute over land parcels, the accused drove their vehicle at high speed directly at the complainant the moment he approached his home. Fortunately, the complainant managed to dodge out of the way, thereby saving his life. However, this murderous attempt by the accused is clearly visible in the CCTV footage.

The Mahalunge Police have registered the case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and Police Sub-Inspector Sachin Mahadik is currently conducting further investigations into the matter.
