Pune Horror: Pregnant Woman Assaulted by In-Laws Over Money; Case Registered Against Four

Pune: A 29-year-old pregnant woman was brutally assaulted with kicks and punches and demanded to bring  Rs 2 lakh from home to pay loan dues, with her in-laws threatening to throw her out of house if she failed to do so. Alandi police have registered a case against four individuals including her husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and sister-in-law, based on the complaint filed by victim. 

According to the information provided by the police, Anagha Sagar Survase filed a formal complaint regarding this matter at the Alandi Police Station. Consequently, a case of domestic violence has been registered against her husband, Sagar Anil Survase father-in-law, Anil Premnath Survase, mother-in-law, Mangal Anil Survase and sister-in-law, Bhagyashree Atish Gotarne  all residents of Indrayani Park, Vadgaon Road, Alandi.

Meanwhile a tragic incident took place in Pune on Sunday morning, April 5, after a second-year Marine Engineering student died after a basketball pole collapsed on him during a jogging activity, according to the news agency IANS, quoting a police officer.

Pune Police inspector, Santosh Patil, said that the incident occurred when the deceased, identified as Vishal Verma, a second-year student at Tolani Maritime Institute, was going for his morning jogging activity towards his hostel when he reached the basketball ground. He was rushed to the hospital, where he tragically passed away.

Vishal was doing pull-ups by hanging on the basketball hoop when the whole rusted pole gaveaway and fell on his head, resulting in serious head injuries as he was bleeding heavily, according to an NDTV report. A fellow student noticed the incident and rushed him to a hospital, but unfortunately, the doctors declared him dead.
