A large crowd of villagers gathered in Madhya Pradesh's Burhanpur after watching Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava movie and started digging a field to remove gold coins buried near the historic Asirgarh Fort during the Mughal era. Videos went viral on social sites showing people digging in fields at night with the help of a mobile torch.
According to the information, the villagers started digging the field at around 7 pm and continued digging until 3 am, some used metal detectors to detect gold metal.

After watching bollywood film #Chhava, villagers near Asirgarh Fort in Burhanpur, (MP) launched a gold hunt after the dawn.

The incident took place after villagers watched Chhaava, a historical film based on Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj's life, characterized by Vicky Kaushal with multi star, including Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb. Someone spread the rumours that gold coins were being buried near the fort in Burhanpur, the then centre of the Mughal empire.

The local police took action after videos surfaced on social sites and issued warnings for illegal excavation. The historic Mughal-era Asirgarh Fort in Madhya Pradesh is linked to buried treasures; however, there are no official proofs of this rumour.
