Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 11 : External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar on Sunday met European Union (EU) Commissioner for International Partnerships and discussed how to synergise Global Gateway with India's development partnership programmes.The G20 Development Ministers' Meeting has begun in Varanasi. EAM Jaishankar is holding meetings with several global leaders.Following his meeting with EU Commissioner for International Partnerships Jutta Urpilainen, Jaishankar tweeted, "A great meeting with EU Commissioner for International Partnerships @JuttaUrpilainen.Discussed the G20 meeting. Also took forward our conversation about synergizing Global Gateway with India's development partnership initiatives."Earlier in the day, EAM Jaishankar met with German Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Svenja Schulze. He expressed his pleasure in beginning the G20 Development Ministers' meeting with her.Jaishankar and Shulze discussed the shared priorities of India and Germany that this meeting aims to take forward. Residents in Sudan were also brought back through Operation Kaveri. Countrymen were brought from Ukraine by 90 flights. From today onwards, we are having G20 programs in Varanasi; there will be discussions on food security, grains, fertilisers & millet."Meanwhile, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Official Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi on Sunday tweeted: "The historic city of Varanasi gears up to host the Development Ministers' Meeting (DMM) under #G20India from June 11-13."The G20 Development Ministers' Meeting under the G20 Indian Presidency is scheduled to be held between June 11-13 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
