Aurangabad, May 20:The crime branch arrested husband of the GovernmentMedical College and Hospital (GMCH) nurse, Nitin Avinash Jadhav (28, KohinoorColony) and a medical representative Gautam Devidas Angarak (36, Gaidya Vihar)for black marketing of Remdesivir injections and selling it for Rs 25,000 perunit, on Wednesday.In the police investigation, it has found thatAngarak has contacts with several doctors and medicine shop owners. Meanwhile, Jadhav’swife and GMCH nurse and Aarti Dholeis still at large. The police have launchedmassive manhunt for her.Vedantnagar police station API Anil Kankal producedthe accused Jadhav and Angarak before the court on Wednesday evening. Aarti isworking as a contractual nurse at the GMCH from March 30, 2021. Jadhav confessedthat she had provided them the Remdesivir injections. Today, when the police wentto arrest her, she was not at home and her mobile phone was also switched off.She had not gone on duty also, the sources said.Angarak lost his job as Medical Representativearound three months back. He had contacts with several doctors at Aurangabad,Mumbai, Pune, Nashik and Ahmednagar. In his phone records, it was found that hehad chatted with 10 persons regarding providing Remdesivir, Mucormycosisinjections and medicines. He received the medicines from Pune and Ahmednagarwhile Jadhav was also one of his suppliers, the sources said.There are several doctors and medical storeowners in Angikar’s phone lists. Hence, police are likely to reach thoseinvolved in the black marketing racket.The court has remanded both the accused in thepolice custody till May 24, informed PI Rameshwar Rodge.
