Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz on Thursday said that people in the debt-ridden 'Naya Pakistan' are being crushed under the weight of rising prices and shrinking income.The daughter of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who is serving sentence in Lahore jail, took to Twitter to sympathise with the masses who have been subjected to miseries by the "fake government"."Strongly feel for the masses for the misery brought about by jaali government in the last 9 months. People have been crushed under the weight of rising prices, increasing gas & electricity bills, joblessness & shrinking incomes. Everything looks bleak," Maryam tweeted.She said that Pakistan has become Asia's worst performing currency and stock exchange, adding that it was quite a dramatic fall from grace under the tenure for the former Prime Minister when the rupee was stable and the stock market was among the best performing in the world."Asia's worst performing currency and worst performing stock exchange. Quite a dramatic fall from grace and glory under MNS (Nawaz Sharif) when the rupee was stable and Stock Market was one of the best performing in the world," Maryam wrote."If anyone had any doubt about Naya Pakistan - no need to go further than the daily bloodbath at the stock market & the battering of our rupee in the currency market," she added.Maryam's tweets came after the Pakist rupee dropped to an all-time low of 148.50 to the US dollar in the inter-bank market on Thursday.The latest depreciation in the rupee came following Pakistan's agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) securing a USD six billion bailout on Sunday.Meanwhile, government sources informed Geo News that Nawaz Sharif had directed PML-N leaders to run a campaign against the government after Eid to adopt an aggressive strategy and help the nation from injustices as soon as possible.
