However, the action taken during the lockdown implemented from March 15 to 21 will be softened partially. After discussions with all-party leaders, businessmen, entrepreneurs and shopkeepers, guardian minister Nitin Raut made the announcement.Who all attended the meetingDistrict leaders and senior officials were present in the meeting held at the divisional commissioner's office. State Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Devendra Fadnavis, MP Krupal Tumane, Zilla Parishad president Rashmi Barve, mayor Dayashankar Tiwari, MLA Girish Vyas, Praveen Datke, Abhijit Vanjari, Krishna Khopde, Mohan Mate, Raju Parve, divisional commissioner Dr Sanjeev Kumar, commissioner of police Amitesh Kumar, NMC commissioner Radhakrishnan B, district collector Ravindra Thakare, ZP chief executive officer Yogesh Kumbhejkar, NMC additional commissioner Jalaj Sharma, IMA president Dr Archana Kothari, GMCH Dean Dr Sudhir Gupta, Mayo Dean Ajay Kewalia, deputy director health Dr Sanjay Jaiswal attended the meeting. Guardian minister met business organisations, entrepreneurs, Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce representatives and all-party leaders on Saturday regarding the Covid transition.During the all-party meeting, it was decided to extend the lockdown implemented on March 15, till March 31. Precautions are being taken to ensure that the economy is not affected due to the lockdown.Raut said that vaccination drive will be given priority to control the infection. The target is to administer 6.87 lakh vaccines in entire district and 40,000 vaccines daily in the district. For this, the number of vaccination centers in the district will be increased. Instructions were given to the police to take strict action against crowds or those who move unnecessarily.People should follow rules: RautGuardian minister Nitin Raut said that people should follow rules and discipline themselves. Appealing to follow the “Mai Zimmedar’ campaign, he appealed to the citizens to cooperate. He said that since lockdown is not synonymous, therefore restrictions are being imposed.Center will help: GadkariUnion Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the Central Government will help without any delay to deal with the situation. The entire machinery and the leaders of all parties are standing with the guardian minister. He appealed to the religious and voluntary organisations of the district to support the vaccination campaign.Police will take strict action: DeshmukhHome Minister Anil Deshmukh emphasised on increasing the Covid test in rural areas. He clearly stated that the police has been asked to act strict with citizens, but allow them to venture out, if there is an emergency.Increase beds in government hospitals: FadnavisLeader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis, while reviewing the situation of Mayo and GMCH said that these hospitals are very important for the poor people. There should be concrete initiative to increase the number of beds here.‘Vaccination sub-centers should be started’Zilla Parishad president Rashmi Barve demanded to start a vaccination drive in sub-centers in rural areas. There was also a demand for starting 150 Covid Care Centres.‘Provide online facilities to elderly’Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari said that the vaccination campaign should run like a public campaign. The elderly should get the benefit of the campaign from the online system.Demand of public representativesPublic representatives demanded starting of transit camps for patients, regulating bills of private hospitals, refund of money taken by the marriage halls if the marriage does not take place, use of school/college buses for vaccination campaign, etc.
