Sher Dhan Rai is a politician and a political leader of Nepal. He is the Chief Minister of Province No. 1, a province in eastern Nepal. He was a member of the 2nd Nepalese Constituent Assembly. He won the Bhojpur–2 seat in 2013 Nepalese Constituent Assembly election for the Communist Party of Nepal. He is Parliamentary Party leader for Province No. 1 and was elected on 9, February, 2018. Rai was elected as CM of Province No. 1 on February 14, 2018. He served in the past as a cabinet minister of government of Nepal, Minister for Information and Communication.
