Agartala, March 23 As a Covid-19 preventive measure, the Tripura Assembly adjourned sine die after approving the budget in "guillotine" and curtailing the five-day budget session to two, here on Monday.Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma on Friday presented a Rs 19,891 crore tax-free budget for 2020-21. The budget session that begun on March 20 was scheduled to continue until March 26.The MALs, cutting across party line, expressed deep concern over the rapid spread of the Covid-19 in India and the world and decided to curtail the Assembly session.Later, Deputy Speaker Biswabandhu Sen cut short the scheduled businesses and adjourned the House sine die.( With inputs from IANS )
