1-day conference on ‘Mooknayak Din’ to be held on Jan 31

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A one-day conference will be organised by the Metta Sangh in the seminar hall of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Law College on January 31 to celebrate ‘Mooknayak Din.’ There will be in-depth discussions on Ambedkarite journalism, communication studies, art, public discourse, and new media in various sessions of the conference to be held between 10.30 am and 5 pm on Saturday.

The theme of the first session is ‘Ambedkarite Journalism: Resistance, Representation, and Communication Studies for Social Justice’. Actor Praveen Dalimbkar will inaugurate this session. Dr Yashwant Bhandare will speak on the nature, scope, and challenges of Ambedkarite journalism.

Dr Swarnamala Mhaske, Rahul Pagare, Dr Prakash Shirsath, Dr Vaishali Bodle, Sanjay Mohod and Dr Kishore Wagh will also guide. Organisers Dr Sachin Bansode, Dr Sanjay Paikrao, and Ratnadeep Ragade have appealed to all to attend the event.
