Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Relief was provided in several family dispute cases during the National Lok Adalat organised at the family court, where 10 couples decided to reunite and restart their married lives. A total of 36 cases from the family court were placed before the Lok Adalat.

Of these, both parties were present in 15 cases, while litigants remained absent in 17 cases. Out of the 15 cases where parties were present, 11 were settled through compromise. Among them, couples in 10 cases decided to set aside their differences and resume living together, while in one case the applicant voluntarily withdrew the petition.

At a time when family disputes are on the rise, the reunion of 10 families through the Lok Adalat is being seen as a positive outcome. The success was attributed to the efforts of the members and counsellors of panel number 16. Retired judge Makarand Advant served as the panel head, while legal expert Rajendra Anpat worked as the panel member. Counsellor Sandhya Chavan also played an important role.

The National Lok Adalat was conducted under the guidance of principal judge S. P. Savaskar. Family court manager Vandana Kochar and court staff also made special efforts for the successful organisation of the Lok Adalat.
