Aurangabad, June 2: A ten-year-old Covid-19 positive girl from Vaijapur died while being treated at the Government Medical College and Hospital Tuesday evening. Earlier, she was being treated in a private hospital but was shifted to GMCH on May 31. She was having fits when she came to the GMCH. Doctors did their best to save her life but she died in the evening.

It is feared that children will be affected most in the possible third wave, so authorities are taking precautions.

GMCH head of the paediatric department Dr Prabha Khaire said seven children have died due to Covid-19 in the second wave while three had died in the first wave.
