In all, 1,112 students have appeared for the M.Phil Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University on Friday.
The Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) research programme is currency operational in 18 departments of the university. This year, the decision to take the CET online was taken by the vice-chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole. The MPhil CET was conducted for Marathi, Hindi, English, History, Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Public Administration, Mathematics, Commerce, Pali and Buddhism, Urdu, Library and Information Science, Computer Science, Physical Education, Pedagogy, Journalism and MBA. Online applications for the CET were invited from November 1 to 10. A total of 1,174 people had registered. The highest number of 154 people registered in the political science department, while 115 people have registered in the commerce department. More than 50 students have registered for Marathi, English, History, Economics, Sociology and Commerce. The result of today''s CET will be announced on November 21, said Dr Ganesh Manza, deputy secretary of the examination department.
