166 admitted in GMCH for medical course

Aurangabad, Nov 19:

Around 166 candidates were admitted for the medical course in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) till today.

The admission process for MBBS began from November 5. The first merit list was declared on November 15 while the first round started from November 16.

The GMCH has an intake of 200 seats. Of them, 170 seats are for State quota while 30 for all India quota.

A total of 157 students were admitted in State quota while 9 in all India quota. The last of confirming admission in the first round of State quota is November 20.The admission guidelines were made available online for the convenience of students and parents given Novel coronavirus spread.

Because of which, the students came prepared for the admission round that was being held in the auditorium of the college.

Incharge of the admission process committee Dr Shiraz Beg said that the examinations of all documents were avoided at the time admissions because of COVID 19.“Earlier, admissions are given only after examinations of the documents. The students should submit the documents while joining the college,” he added.
