2 attacks on Beed Bypass spreads fear

An unidentified gang of three goons pelted stones on a group of friends riding on a moped near Dutt Mandir on Beed Bypass on Thursday late evening. The residents are panicked as the second incident of attack by stones was held after a four-hour gap on the same route.

In the first incident, Rahul Janardhan Rathod (24, Naiknagar) along with two others, was riding on a moped. He was proceeding to have ‘pani puri’ at Deolai Chowk’s Dutt Mandir. While on the way, three unidentified persons stopped and waged an attack on them. Later, they threw stones at the trio. Two friends, out of the three, sustained injuries and the vehicle also got damaged.

In the second incident, the gang of unidentified three accused attacked Amit Gavhale at Kanchanwadi when he was returning home on April 3 at midnight (1 am). They stopped and hit him with boulders. Satara police have registered both incidents. Further investigation is on.
