Aurangabad, May 20:

The Children are being infected by the Corona virus. In all,

48 children between the age group of 0 to 5 years and 171 children in the age

group of 5 and 18 years were infected between May 10 and 19, was confirmed from

the daily Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) report. Presently, there is no

facility of the children’s Covid Centre and hence they are being treated in the

private hospitals.

The administration has gained control over the second Corona wave. The

number of patients has reduced but the danger of infection of children has

increased. The parents and the health machinery is worried about it. However,

most of them are asymptomatic or with mild symptoms, the sources said.

Meanwhile, the second meeting of the pediatricians chaired by divisional

commissioner Sunil Kendrekar was held today. Issues regarding the children’s

covid centres, medicines, care to be taken, ventilators and others were

discussed.
