3-day Intel conference on ‘Innovations in Materials Sci’ to be held in Bamu

Chhatrapati Sambhajanigar: Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu), PM-USHA, Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF, New Delhi) and Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS, Mumbai) will jointly host a three-day International Conference on “Innovations in Materials Science for a Sustainable Future (ICMS-2026)” from February 03 to 05, 2026.

The conference will bring together renowned scientists, academicians, researchers, and industry experts from India and across the globe, making it one of the most prestigious scientific events organised by the University.

During the inaugural function, Professor M. D. Shirsat, eminent scientist, senior academician, and administrator, will be felicitated in recognition of his outstanding contributions to scientific research, institution building, and higher education.

Vice-Chancellor Dr Vijay Fulari will preside over the function while Dr D K Aswal (Member, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Government of India, New Delhi) will be the chief guest. Suresh Gosavi ( Vice-Chancellor, Savitribai Phule Pune University) will be the distinguished guest. Dr Ri-ichi Murakami (Tokushima University, Japan) and Meng-Lin Tsai (National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taiwan) will be the guests of honour.

Dr Ri-ichi Murakami will deliver the keynote address.

The conference will feature: 17 plenary talks, 24 invited talks, 72 oral presentations and 241 poster presentations. A total of 313 research papers will be presented on advanced and emerging themes in materials science, nanotechnology, sensors, energy materials, environmental sustainability, and future technologies. Pro-VC Dr Walmik Sarwade, Convener B N Dole, Pravina Ugile (chairperson, organisation committee), Dr P B Undre (Organising Committee Secretary) were present at the briefing.

11 speakers from overseas

A total of 11 overseas speakers from Japan, Taiwan, USA, France, Egypt, Poland, Slovakia, South Korea, and Jordan, along with eminent scientists from premier Indian institutions, will participate in the event. The valedictory function will be conducted on February 5, 2026.
