33 new vehicles inducted into police fleet to bolster law and order

In a major push to strengthen law enforcement, 33 new police vehicles worth Rs 5 crore have been added to the force under the district planning fund. Guardian Minister Sanjay Shirsat inaugurated the fleet on Sunday evening, vowing government support to ensure efficient policing in urban and rural areas.

The inauguration ceremony, held at the district Superintendent of Police Office, witnessed the presence of key dignitaries, including MP Dr Kalyan Kale, divisional commissioner Dilip Gawde, CP Pravin Pawar, Special IG of Police Virendra Mishra, district collector Dileep Swami, Zilla Parishad CEO Ankit , SP Dr Virendra Kumar Rathod, and other senior officials.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Shirsat reiterated the government’s commitment to equipping the police with modern resources to combat crime and maintain public order. "The police must ensure justice for common citizens and uphold the rule of law with dedication," he stated.

Ambulance and more vehicles on the way

In a significant announcement, the minister declared that ambulances would be provided for police personnel. Additionally, he assured that 30 more vehicles would be inducted into the force soon, further enhancing mobility and response capabilities.

Distribution of vehicles:

City police commissionerate: 15 vehicles

District superintendent of police: 10 vehicles

State Reserve Police Force (SRPF): 8 vehicles, including one bus

The event commenced with an introduction by district SP Dr. Vinaykumar Rathod, followed by remarks from MP Dr. Kalyan Kale and district collector Dileep Swami, who highlighted the importance of continuous modernization in law enforcement.

Strengthening the police force

The addition of these vehicles is expected to improve patrolling efficiency, response time, and overall operational readiness of the police force. Officials emphasized that such initiatives would aid in tackling crime and ensuring public safety more effectively.
