Aurangabad, March 14:
Around 600 Corona patients are increasing daily in the city. Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) administrator, Astik Kumar Pandey informed that 5000 beds have been arranged in the city for the treatment of the patients.
The residents should use the ‘Maze Arogya Mazya Hati’ mobile app. The information about the beds will be available for the residents on this app. Home isolation facility will be permitted for the patients with mild symptoms, Pandey said.
Meanwhile, the divisional commissioner, Sunil Kendrekar during a meeting on Sunday directed the officers to inspect personally whether the private hospitals have arranged 3520 beds in the district for the treatment of the Covid patients, as directed to them in October, 2020. Presently, only 1546 Corona patients are being treated at the private hospitals. It is found that the remaining beds from the reserved beds are being used for the non-Covid patients. Kendrekar has directed that these beds should be made available for the Covid patients immediately. He also directed that notices should be served to the hospitals which have not increased the beds as per directives and personally inspect the situation within the next three days.
