Aurangabad, April 29:

More than 65,000 students took the mock test being conducted by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) from Wednesday.

The second and third undergraduate courses examinations commenced while first-year students started taking their examination on April 6.

However, the university postponed all the examinations until May 2 with the implement of strict curbs by the State Government to contain the spread of COVID.

Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant instructed the vice-chancellors’ meeting held recently that online examination should be held for remaining papers to save further time of students.

Bamu will conduct UG examinations online from May 3 while PG candidates will appear from May 5.

The university administration asked the colleges to double the number of Information Technology (IT) coordinators.

Majority of students had opted for offline mode before the postponing the examinations. Now, all of them will have to take it online. Bamu is holding mock test between April 28 and May 2 for those who are acquainted with online mode.

Over, 65,000 took the mock test on Wednesday, the first day of the test. The examinations department claimed that no no complaint received from students of Beed, Jalna, Osmanabad and Aurangabad.

Director of Board of Examinations and Evaluation Dr Yogesh Patil urged the students to contact IT coordinator of their college if they face any problem in mock test.
