Aastha Foundation to receive Amar Urja Award 2025

Aastha Foundation has been selected for the state-level ‘Amar Urja Award 2025’ by Amar Hind Mandal, Dadar, Mumbai, among five organisations shortlisted from 92 entries across Maharashtra.

The award, in its fifth year, carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, a memento, and a citation. The ceremony will be held on April 18 at 6 pm in Mumbai, with Shriram Dandekar, Vice President and Executive Director of Koyuko Camlin, as chief guest. Founded in 2008, Aastha Foundation works towards dignified living for senior citizens under its ‘Joyful Old Age’ initiative, running a full-time residential elder care home, Aastha Ghar, in Jadgaon. Other awardees include Keshavsmruti Pratishthan (Jalgaon), Sahara Gramvikas Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha (Amravati), Quality Education Support Trust (QUEST, Palghar), and Vatsalya Social Organisation (Dharashiv). The selection recognised sustained social service and community impact, announced by Seema Kolhatkar, chief executive of Amar Hind Mandal.
