Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: BJP MLA from Hyderabad T. Raja (Raja Singh Thakur) warned that the growing influence of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and Indian Secular Largest Assembly of Maharashtra (ISLAM) is a serious threat to the State.
He was addressing a gathering organised at the Draupadabai Nanabhau Kale Sports Complex in the Pisadevi area on Gudi Padwa.
The event, attended by Sanatan Sanstha's religious preacher Sadguru Nandkumar Jadhav, Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad's Adv. Suresh Kulkarni and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti's Marathwada coordinator Priyanka Lone began with the blowing of a conch shell followed by the lighting of lamps.
T. Raja called upon Hindus to set aside caste differences and unite to check the rise of these parties. He noted that 126 AIMIM corporators were elected across the State, that AIMIM is the second-largest party in the CSMC after BJP, and that in Malegaon, the ISLAM party is in power.
He alleged that former AIMIM MP Imtiaz Jaleel uses the language of revenge and that Hindu disunity is fuelling their growing strength.
He warned that ISLAM and AIMIM would gradually spread across the State, and that certain secular leaders are actively working to divide Hindus while sheltering those spreading love jihad, appealing to people not to support such leaders.
