Aurangabad, Dec 9: The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is considering reopening Siddharth Garden and Zoo for visitors.

After reopening of pilgrimage centres in the city and historical monuments slated to reopen for tourists from Thursday, it is hoped that AMC administrator A K Pandey will also decide to reopen Siddharth Garden and Zoo in a couple of days.

The AMC has incurred a loss of around Rs 30 lakh as an entry fee as both these public places have been closed for the last nine months. Lakhs of people visit them every year.

Additional commissioner B B Nemane confirmed that terms and conditions for visitors were under discussion, while the AMC administrator would soon decide when to reopen these public places.
