Aurangabad,Oct 27:

The Health Department of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will carry out the test of each firecracker and weekly market vendors and gymnasium staff members to contain the spread of Novel coronavirus.

It may be noted that the State Government permitted to restart weekly market and gymnasium from October 15. Terms and conditions were laid down for the re-opening of gymnasiums to reduce the spread of the pandemic virus.

The contractors of the weekly market were given instructs to follow measures. Medical officer Dr Neeta Padalkar said that health department decided to carry out the test at all places.

The AMC decided to do RTPCR test for all instead of antigen. The test of 15 employees of the gymnasiums was conducted so far. A certificate will be issued if the report is negative. A squad will be deployed at weekly markets of Jafar Gate, Shahnoorwadi, Chikalthana and Cantonment for the test of vendors and even customers if they wish.

A firecrackers market will be organised in the different parts of the city for the Diwali festival. The traders who will install a shop in firecracker market will have to undergo the test. Dr Neeta Padalkar said that COVID test is mandatory before starting firecrackers shop.
