Aurangabad, Jan 9: The function halls of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) located in the different parts of the city are still locked.

It may be noted that the State Government had banned marriage functions, religious and social programmes.

Under ‘Mission Begin Again,’ the Government started relaxing restrictions.

A total of a maximum of 50 person gathering is permitted for a marriage ceremony.

This paved the way for the reopening of the private function halls. The halls were reopened after taking permission from AMC.

The civic body has function halls in the different parts of the city. The halls which are rented at a very low charge are in high demand. It has been one and a half months since private function halls reopened, but, Corporation’s halls are still locked.

Many persons applied to get a hall at Silk Mill and open space at Nehru Bhavan. The applications are gathering dust in the AMC.
