The independent Task Force appointed by the municipal commissioner today succeeded in collecting property tax of

Rs 2.73 lakh. The team members also disconnected the water supply of a housing society in Gadiya Vihar.

Under the guidance of the deputy commissioner Aparna Thete, the Task Force collected Rs 86,000 from Narayan Singh (at Maulana Azad Chowk) out of total dues of Rs 1.34 lakh; cheque payment of Rs 97,000 from Abdullah Farooq Saya at Motiwala Trade Centre; Rs 40,000 from Hotel Atharva in Zone No-5; cheque payment of Rs 50,000 from Gurudev Hostel in Zone No- I.

Meanwhile, the civic officials also disconnected the water supply connection to recover water dues of Rs 67,000 from Shramik Plot-Owners at Gadiya Vihar.
