Aurangabad, March 27:
The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) had set up 36 testing centres in the city. Meanwhile, the civic administration has landed into worry as the citizens are rushing for testing at the four Covid Care Centres (CCCs), where a large number of Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment for the past many days. The rush of people for testing is noticed at the CCCs in MIT College Hostel, Kile Ark, Padampura and MGM Sports Complex.
The AMC, through its centres, are testing 4,000 persons daily. The citizens suffering from cold, cough and body ache are voluntarily contacting the centres for getting themselves tested. Indeed, this change is being welcomed by the health section of AMC, but the major rush at four selective CCCs is of great concern. Earlier, to avoid gathering of citizens at one place, the AMC constituted six health for the testing businessmen and their staff, six teams had been deployed to check visitors entering the city limits, independent teams are sent to identify the contact persons, five teams are camping at five main government offices etc.
Testing figures in the last four days
In the last four days (from March 22 to 26), the checking of patients recorded at four major CCCs is as follows: MGM - (273, 251, 285, 289 and 298), MIT - (244, 412, 256, 267 and 275), Kile Ark - (201, 168, 195, 123 and 135) and Padampura - (316, 272, 416, 312 and 357).
