In a consecutive crackdown on Wednesday, the Crime Branch seized country liquor worth Rs 12,000 and registered cases at four locations in the Waluj MIDC area. This action has put local police stations and criminals on high alert.

A special police squad conducted raids at multiple locations in MIDC Waluj limits recently. At Kamalapur Phata, Ranjangaon, police seized 122 bottles of country liquor worth Rs 3,750 from Dattu Thorat. Similarly, in Ektanagar, Ranjangaon, 32 bottles worth Rs 2,240 were confiscated from Ajay Prakash Chavan. At Krishnanagar, Ranjangaon, Santosh alias Sanjay Bhalchandra Ranyevele was caught with 48 bottles of country liquor worth Rs 3,360. Meanwhile, in Vadgaon Kolhati, near Shivaji Maharaj Chowk, Santosh Sainath Shejul was found in possession of 66 bottles worth Rs 3,360. The operation was carried out by a team led by Sub-Inspector Pravin Patharkar.
