Aurangabad, June 10:

The administration of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) restarted the library for researchers after the State government announced unlock process.

The reading room was also opened for limited students.

It may be noted that all hostels were shut down for more than one year because of Covid.

Hostels were reopened in November 2020 for research students while classes commenced from February 15, 2021. Library and reading rooms were also started.

When the second wave of the pandemic virus began in March and lockdown was imposed from April 15, most of the departments of the campus were closed again. The Government lifted all the restrictions from the city on June 7. All the employees are being called on duty from Monday.

The library was started on June 9. The reading room with 500 capacity was also reopened but, only 125 researchers allowed to study in it to maintain social distancing.

Library director Dr Dharmaraj Veer said that the process of books issuance also began.

The students were waiting for the reopening of hotels now.
