Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

A bank manager, who had come to the city from Jalna, was stopped on the road by two unidentified individuals who snatched his mobile phone and bag. This incident occurred around 1.30 am on June 19 in front of the Kala Ganpati Temple on Jalgaon Road. Just two days earlier, a woman's purse was snatched by bikers near the Cidco bus stand.

Despite incidents of looting common citizens continuing for the past five and a half months, the police have been unsuccessful in stopping these crimes. Kailas Khandebharad (32), a native of Jalna, is a manager at a private bank. He had come to the city for bank work on June 18. After visiting a friend in Garkheda, he was heading to another friend's room in Jadhavwadi to stay for the night. He took the route via the Cidco bus stand towards Kala Ganpati Temple.

When he stopped his bike to call his friend for the exact address, bikers approached him, intimidated him, and snatched his mobile phone along with his bag containing a laptop and other important documents. Khandebharad mentioned that their bike made a noise similar to a sports bike. Following Inspector Atul Yerme's orders, a case has been registered at the Cidco police station regarding this incident. PSI Pramod Devkate is investigating the case.

Looting continues unchecked in the Cidco Bus Stand area

The highest number of looting incidents in the city occur in the jurisdiction of the MIDC Waluj and MIDC Cidco police stations. The Cidco bus stand area, in particular, sees a higher presence of criminals. Recently, after a shop in Akshay Plaza was broken into, bikers snatched a woman's purse around 9 pm the very next day.
