Aurangabad, Nov 15:

Every year, around 7,000 or 8,000 deaths of the residents are registered due to various diseases, accident and natural deaths in the city. However, this year despite one a half months left for completing the year, the city is heading to the record deaths figure of 10,000, due to the Corona crisis. The total deaths recorded at the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation this year till November 15 is 9700. Moreover, the deaths doubled between June to October.

Hence, the residents need to take safety precautions as the experts have opined that the second Corona wave is likely to hit the city post Diwali. The birth and the deaths in the city are registered at the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC). The registration cell works for 24 hours for the convenience of the residents. The residents breaching all the safety guidelines for preventing Corona celebrated Diwali enthusiastically this year. The city markets were crowded and the residents were seen breaching the guidelines of social distancing, masks and sanitizers norms. The deaths in the period of June to October, the mortalities in the city doubled while the annual average also increased by 20 percent.
