City renaming issue being raised to divert attention from development: Ranga Rachure

Aurangabad, Jan 2:

State unit president Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Ranga Rachure said that the city''s renaming issue is being raised by some political parties to divert attention from development points.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Ranga Rachure said that his party would contest Aurangabad Municipal Corporation elections on all seats.

He said that one aspirant and five activists in each ward would review civic issues of people.

Ranga Rachure said that this review would be completed in 15 days.

“There is no need to do politics on emotional points. Many basic problems of the city are pending for many years. The problems are not discussed because of emotional points,” he asserted.

He said that AAP leader and Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal would be invited for the canvassing during the election period. “We will contest elections on points like a tap, drainage and sufficient water for each house, clinic in each ward. PR card for property holders which are in Gunthewari areas,” he added.

AAP Marathwada president Dr Subhash Mane, Sugriv Munde, Isak Andewala, Ashir Jaihind, Vaijnath Rathod, Satish Sancheti and others were present at the briefing.
