Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Seniors in the city are increasingly vulnerable, with four robberies occurring in two days. Alarmingly, most incidents were in the Jawaharnagar police station area, where a lack of visible action has drawn significant public criticism.

Dr. Anil Boralkar( 68, Padampura) was robbed of his gold chain on Tuesday while on his morning walk near his farm in Banewadi. After parking near Holy Cross School, two young men with dyed hair pushed him down and stole the 2-tola chain from his neck. The incident is under investigation by the Cantonment Police Station.

Another robbery in Jawaharnagar

Robberies have been significantly on the rise in the Jawaharnagar Police Station area. Asha Late (58, Tilaknagar) was robbed of her gold mini-necklace near Pavana Maruti Temple in Vinayak Adarsh Housing Society while returning from Ram Temple near Chetak Ghoda Chowk after prayers on Monday at 7 pm. Despite the area's reputation for such crimes, the local police have faced criticism for their insufficient action.
