Civic budget likely on March 24 or 25

The municipal corporation will present its budget to the standing committee chairperson on March 24 or 25. The standing committee will review it, add development works if required, and forward it to the general body for final approval. The general body may make further changes before passing it. The budget preparation is nearly complete, with an expected outlay of around Rs 3,500 crore. The corporation has also taken a loan of Rs 820 crore under a new water supply scheme, which will be reflected in the budget, increasing its overall size.
