Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had taken the initiative to establish a regional office of the Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Research, Training and Human Development Institute (SARATHI) in the city.
He not only decided to construct the SARATHI office but also to build a hostel for students at the same location. As a result, towering buildings for the SARATHI regional office and hostel are being constructed in the Garkheda area. Pawar had inspected the site on May 4 last year.
While the SARATHI regional office was being constructed, Ajit Pawar was closely monitoring the provision of all types of facilities there. After arriving in the city, he visited the construction site several times for inspection. When shortcomings were found, Ajit Pawar was seen instructing the concerned construction contractor to ensure quality work.
Besides, he focused on making funds available from time to time. As additional funds were required, he also sanctioned them. Even after facing criticism, Ajit Pawar had clarified that he would not let there be any shortage of funds in the future either.
