Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: “In recent times, new opportunities are becoming available in the education field. However, at the same time, the commercialisation of education is also increasing on a large scale, which is a matter of concern” said Anil Sable, the divisional chairman of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE).

He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony the two-day national seminar on social science organised at Milind Arts College on Saturday as part of its 75th year celebration.

Former head of the Department of History of Savitribai Phule Pune University Dr Deepak Gaikwad, Dr Pratibha Ahire, Dr Pushpa Gaikwad, Dr A I Khan, Dr Sangram Gunjal, Vice Principal Dr Santosh Burkul and coordinator of Internal Quality Assurance Cell Dr Feroz Pathan were seated on the stage.

Dr Deepak Gaikwad inaugurated the seminar. The two-day national seminar concluded in the presence of Dr Sanjay Salunke, Dean of the Humanities Faculty, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. Principal Dr Vaishali Pradhan presided over the event.

Dr Sanjay Salunke said that women's contribution to the progress of human society is equal to that of men and they are equally working with men in all fields. Dr Abhimanyu Gavai conducted the proceedings of the programme while Dr Ramnath Pawar proposed a vote of thanks. About 150 professors and research students read their research papers in this national seminar.
