Aurangabad, June 11:

The contractual employees working with the permanent staff in Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University get meager salary as compared to permanent staff. Minister of state Bacchu Kadu had asked the higher education Uday Samant to give salaries on equal work, equal pay basis and give permanent appointment to these employees.

The university currently has 450 contractual staff. These employees have been working for the last 15 to 20 years. The university is not ready to accommodate these employees permanently in the service. The employees are not given equal wage as permanent employees. Minister of state Bachchu Kadu discussed the matter with minister Samant. He also assured that he will pursue the matter until these employees get justice, he assured.
