Aurangabad, July 8:

The local crime branch of the Aurangabad rural police arrested a couple, accused of a house burgling at Jaibhavaninagar in Gangapur and seized valuables amounting Rs 36,200 from them. The arrested have been identified as Fakirchand Chandrabhan Kale (45) and Meenabai Fakirchand Kale (42, both residents of Laxminagar, Yesgaon, Gangapur).

Police said, the house of Chandrakant Vitthal Jadhav was burgled at Gangapur on May 27 and jewellery and cash amounting to Rs 72,000 were stolen. The local crime branch investigated and found that Fakirchand and Meenabai along with their accomplices conducted the robbery. Accordingly, PI Bhagwat Phunde, PSI Ganesh Raut, constable Vitthal Rakh, Dipesh Nagzare, Vikram Deshmukh, Valmik Nikam, Manisha Chaudhary, Ganesh Gangve, Dnyaneswar Mete, Sanjay Tandale arrested both of them. During interrogation, they confessed that called their accomplices, who are their relatives including Amit alias Anand Kagdya Chavan, Abhishek Dastya Chavan, Avinash Dastya Chavan, Avinash Dastya Chavan and Sham Badud Bhosale (Padegaon, Kopargaon, Ahmednagar) burgled the house. They received some part of the burglary, they said. The police have seized the valuables.

Meanwhile, the Kale couple used to wander in the GAngapur and Sillegaon areas and spot the closed houses. Then, they informed about it to their relatives, informed PI Phunde.
