Aurangabad, Jan 7:

The Cyber crooks duped Varsha Forging Company at Waluj industrial area of Rs 5.5 lakh by hacking the email id of the manager of the company. A case has been registered against the unidentified criminals at the Waluj MIDC police station.

Varsha Forgings manufactures steel at Waluj MIDC area. Three months back, the company has given order for raw material to a Hyderabad based KST Ispat Company. However, the company had not sent the order despite taking the advance payment. The purchase manager of the company, Fazal Khan had made the online payment by taking bank details of the company. The company had paid Rs 12,47,850 through the online transaction. Still, the company had not sent the material. Hence, Fazal Khan contacted the officers of the Hyderabad company, but they told that they had not received the payment.

During inquiry, it was found that the mentioned amount was deposited in the account of the person named Rajeshwar Singh in Allahbad Bank at Lucknow. When realized that the company has been duped, a complaint was lodged in the bank in the bank and the account of Rajeshwar Singh was freezed. However, until then, the crooks had withdrew Rs 5.5 lakh at Delhi through the ATM. A case has been registered at the Waluj MIDC police station against the unidentified crook in this regard. PI, Madhukar Sawant is further investigating the case.
