Aurangabad, July 4:

An unemployed youth, Swapnil Lonkar, preparing for the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) examination, recently committed suicide due to depression. The OBC Vidyarthi Kruti Samiti has condemned the incident and shouted slogans against the state government and demanded to register case of culpable homicide against the government. The Samiti also threatened to launch a massive agitation across the state if the issues related to MPSC is not resolved.

MPSC student Lonkar committed suicide at Phursungi area in Pune recently. He committed suicide due to the irregularities in MPSC, the samiti alleged and staged demonstrations at Mahatma Phule Chowk at Aurangpura on Sunday. Initially, tributes were paid to Lonkar. The agitators demanded that the dates of the MPSC collective group examination date should be announced soon, advertisement for the group C posts should be released, the appointment should be made at the earliest and other demands.

Mahendra Munde, Tushar Salunkhe, Gajanan Palve, Prem Kankal, Bhupesh Kadu, Krishna Ghule and others were present.
