Aurangabad, Dec 15:

The crime branch police have arrested three youths for riding a new motorcycle without its registration from the Road Transport Office (RTO), at Mahaveer Chowk, on December 13. They were riding the bike by displaying a fake number plate to evade police action.

A case is registered against Shoeb Qureshi Anwar Qureshi (25, resident of Bada Takiya, Nutan Colony), Mateen Moin Khan (resident of Buddi Lane) and Ajaz Qureshi Abbas Qureshi at Kranti Chowk police station.

It so happened that the crime branch police inspector Anil Gaikwad''s subordinate PSI Nandkumar Bhandari and his team were patrolling on December 13 night. They spotted three youths riding on a new motorcycle (MH20 EM 5227) with an old series number plate. This raised the suspicion, and the police told the rider to produce vehicle documents. He was giving evasive replies. When pressed hard, the rider confessed that he had not registered the vehicle with the RTO office. However, to evade action from police, , he displayed a fake number plate on the vehicle. Later on, the

police have seized two motorcycles, which were also not registered, from their possession.
